International trade show ISPO Munich 2015
We took part in the international trade show ISPO Munich as the winners of ISPO BRANDNEW in "hardware winter" category. Our products got caught the visitors' attention. Nobody could believe their eyes and feelings when they tried out our carbon fiber ice axe IDOL, because it sustains all necessary loads according to EN13089 и UIAA152 (Type B) standards while weighting only 190 gram. Dennis Dusseldorp - the member of award panel - had this to say: "A very well-engineered product which can only make outdoor enthusiasts and professional mountaineers smile!"
Several famous sportsmen visited our booth too. Sebastian de Sainte Marie, a Swiss ski mountaineer, was really impressed with IDOL. Moreover he provided a thoughtful insight of the current state of ski mountaineering equipment.
9-times winner of UIAA World Iceclimbing Cup and UIAA World Iceclimbing Championship from Austria Markus Bendler added a pair of ASPEEDs to his tool collection.
The Award ceremony was great too. The prize itself is much heavier than the ice axe.
Our latest development - descender GNOME - got a fair share of attention from visitors too. A patented adapting system for different rope diameters and user's weight combined with intuitive simple way of use makes GNOME a truly innovative product with no analogues on the market.
In general we can say that the show was successful: we hope that ICE ROCK equipment will become available in Europe very soon.
