International trade show OutDoor Friedrichshafen 2016
TM ICE ROCK took part in the OutDoor 2016 trade fair. Our booth was situated in the same spot third year in a row. However we brought something new there: we completely redesigned our booth and made an emphasis on our latest developments: descender GNOME and the whole range of carbon fiber ice axes.
The main goal of our participation was to make an official presentation of the descender GNOME. This goal was achieved. We were glad to show the final product. We plan to start selling the device in the middle of Autumn.
GNOME caught a lot of attention from the visitors. An innovative adaptation system, which adjusts to the user’s weight and rope diameter, makes GNOME very easy to operate. This advantage combining with its other features make the device cross functional. There were mountains guides, cavers, lifeguards, climbing gym owners, industrial climbers and simply outdoor enthusiasts among our visitors. All of them acknowledged GNOME's big potential.
Alexey Dengin - our consultant - demonstrated descent using GNOME over and over again.
Gaetan Raymond - famous French ice climber - visited our booth too. He had a productive conversation with Alexey, who is a member of Russian national ice climbing team. They talked about our ice tools and very technical topics regarding using the tools on artificial and natural routes. They discussed tools' geometry, materials, durability and every other aspect of ice climbing.
In conclusion we could say that the Show was a success. Our products caught a lot of attention; we met our business partners and friends; we made new contacts as well.
